Laptops

Warranty

For laptops, we offer two types of warranty: Collect & Return and Onsite. These warranties are extensions of the standard guarantees issued by manufacturers upon purchase of their products. Collect & Return covers against component or electrical failure of your laptop. A courier will pick up your broken laptop and our qualified and accredited engineers will repair it and return it to you within 5 working days.

The Onsite warranty also covers against electrical/component failure, providing an engineer to visit your property the next working day to fix it. This warranty type is ideally suited to situations where downtime has to be kept to a minimum or your laptop contains sensitive data.

If the engineer is unable to fix the laptop under the warranty agreements, then we will send you a brand-new replacement of matching specifications.

Plus

As part of our Plus package, we offer a fixed price Repair Promise for physical damage of £20. In the event of damage, MendIT will collect your mobile equipment and either repair or provide a replacement*.

A FREE annual health check will be given on your mobile equipment, if required. This covers software updates and virus/phishing software removal etc.

MendIT Maintenance Plus offers a higher level of support and service than standard insurance products with the added benefit of an instant approval to reduce the time you are without your equipment.

Damage examples:

Smashed/cracked screen, broken plastics, loss of sound, battery damage, connection problems.

Provision & Process

  • An electronic certificate will be provided to register the mobile equipment
  • In the event of breakdown or damage, the user should contact us on 01282 418 864, or repairs-admin@mendit.com
  • We will attempt to solve the problem first by remote diagnostics
  • If a hardware repair is required, we will arrange a collection and provide a pre-paid postage label for the user to attach to the packaging (the user is responsible for the packaging)
  • If the mobile equipment is damaged, a payment of £20 will be required prior to collection
  • Upon receiving the mobile equipment, we will continue to further diagnose the problem and repair it for free
  • Once repaired, the equipment is subjected to quality control and tested to ensure it is repaired to full working order
  • We will package the equipment and return send it to the user
  • We cover all parts, labour and carriage costs
  • 5 day turnaround upon receiving the device (subject to parts availability)

Additional Support

  • Unlimited helpdesk support
  • Check battery life and replace for FREE if it falls below 60% charge
  • Check for latest software and update if required
  • Check for signs of additional damage
  • Check for water damage, and repair if required

Tablets

Warranty

We offer tablet owners our Collect & Return extended warranty, which offers additional cover to that of the manufacturer’s standard guarantee. It covers both electrical and component failure of the tablet. Once you have informed us of the failure, we will have a courier collect the tablet and one of our trained engineers will repair the device. It is our policy to fix and return the tablet to you within 5 working days.

We send you a brand-new replacement tablet to you if we cannot fix the tablet under the warranty agreements. The new tablet will have matching specifications to the old one.

Mobiles

Warranty

The Collect & Return warranty is available for mobile phones, providing a fast and efficient repair service in event of a mechanical breakdown. This warranty is inclusive of all makes of mobile phones. In the event of a component or electrical failure, we will collect the device by courier and one of our qualified engineers will fix the phone for you. The device will be returned to you within five working days.

If for some reason we cannot fix the mobile, we will provide you with a brand-new replacement of an equivalent specification.
